SILVER SPRING, Md.– The Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has sent detectives to investigate a motorcycle crash in Wheaton that proved fatal.
Officers from several departments, including the Montgomery County Department of Police 4th District, the Maryland National Capital Park Police and MCFRS personnel responded to the crash last Sunday afternoon.
The accident was reported to be near Randolph Road and Lindell Street and was a single motorcycle collision involving only the rider.
A 51-year-old-man from Silver Spring was driving a 2018 KTM Duke 390 motorcycle on Randolph Road when an unknown event occurred, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.
The man was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead on the scene by medics.
