WASHINGTON–The Supreme Court heard arguments Tuesday over whether a baker in Colorado should be compelled to fill an order from a same sex couple for a wedding cake. Bakery owner Jack Phillips says doing so would violate his First Amendment right to freedom of religion. He also says as an artist he has the right to determine who he wants to purchase his work. But opponents say it boils down to the consumer’s right to buy what they want.
